The historic Town of Dehradun is situated in the north Indian state of uttranchal.The artish husband reclled that the picture was painted out of doors.The garden formed background on the left.On the right was the corner pillar of our verandah. In 1909 Mrs Burrad gave the picture to miss Doria MacKinnon,on the occasion of her marriage. When the artist died in 1928,she kindly returned the picture to the Burrard family.
